The shopping channel U-turns on an earlier decision to stop broadcasting at 7pm.
Hochanda, the home of crafts, hobbies and arts, will be available on Freeview until 10pm from this week. It follows a backlash from viewers when the channel’s hours were cut in the winter.
The channel said its viewers had been “missing spending their evenings with us”.
Ahead of the extension of hours, viewers are being asked to retune their Freeview TVs and boxes to continue watching the channel on its regular number – channel 85. This technical change is due to take place at midday on 30th June.
The change will also impact viewers who have BT TV, Plusnet TV or TalkTalk TV.
