A bundle of Freeview channels in the London TV region fell off-air on Thursday afternoon.
The D3&4 multiplex that carries ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5 in standard definition was impacted by a technical fault. HD versions of the channels (channels 103-105) were not affected.
Engineers worked for several hours to restore services to affected households. No reason for the issue was provided.
Other affected channels included ITV+1, ITV2, ITV3, ITV4, E4, E4+1 More4 and Film4.
ITV offshoots ITV2+1, ITVBe, CITV, Channel 4 offshoots 4seven, Film4+1 and More4+1 and Channel 5 offshoots including 5Select and 5USA were unaffected. They are broadcast on a different multiplex.
Satellite viewers were unaffected. Cable TV services from Virgin Media were offline nationally following a incident that started on Thursday morning. BT TV and TalkTalk TV piggyback off the Freeview signal, so had the same issues as Freeview.
