The home of horror and sci-fi drama is promoted up to a new Freeview channel number, in a swap with CBS Justice.
By midday on Wednesday 25th May 2022, Horror Channel will move from channel 69 to channel 41 in this month’s Freeview channel update.
Since launching on the free-to-air TV service in March 2015, Horror has established itself among viewers with cult sci-fi dramas including Star Trek: The Original Series and classic Doctor Who alongside its traditional mix of horror movies.
CBS Justice
CBS Justice is moving the other way – down the Freeview channel list, swapping places with Horror on channel 69. The channel will then sit next to CBS Drama and CBS Reality in the Freeview channel list. Originally known as ‘CBS Action’, the channel shows US crime drama, including CSI: Miami, JAG, Perry Mason and NCIS.
Newer Freeview receivers may automatically adjust the channel list to reflect the changes. Other receivers will need to be retuned to continue watching on the new channel numbers. TVs that aren’t retuned may continue to display both channels on their old channel numbers.

The changes also affect YouView (BT/TalkTalk) users.
