Channel 5’s on-demand service is struggling to play any programmes for users of certain Sony TVs running on the YouView platform.
Affected viewers report seeing a VJS-2010 error when trying to play programmes on My5 through YouView.
The My5 app hosts content from Channel 5’s entire family of channels, including 5ACTION, 5STAR and 5SELECT.
Channel 5’s tech team say they are aware and are “working to understand” the cause of the error, to stop it occurring.
Last week, My5 was affected by an issue affecting all platforms whereby programmes wouldn’t load. This resulted in some users seeing error messages when they tried to access the app. This has now been resolved.
