BBC Three will have four different channel numbers on Sky satellite this January, depending on where you live. Ofcom has ordered a tidy up by mid-2023.

The wait for BBC Three’s return goes on for some viewers in the Republic of Ireland, normally accustomed to receiving BBC TV.
BBC Three is being shoehorned back on to TV platforms. As it can’t return to its pre-2016 channel numbers, the channel’s availability will vary across the UK.
As BBC Three returns to the airwaves, the BBC has unveiled new competition, comedy and drama shows for the channel.
BBC Four and BBC Scotland will be moving to new channel numbers on the free-to-air satellite TV service when BBC Three joins the platform ahead of its launch.
After six years, BBC Three is back on traditional TV platforms on 1st February. The first week brings live African Cup of Nations football, a RuPaul Special and a chance to watch numerous BBC Three shows from the last six years from the beginning.
Following the first test transmissions, the BBC confirms BBC Three will relaunch on the 1st February 2022. Live football will feature on three of the first seven nights on air.
Previews for the soon-to-be-relaunched BBC Three have gone live on satellite and terrestrial TV platforms. A loop carrying highlights for the channel started at 7pm on Monday 10th January.
BBC Three returns to traditional TV platforms at the beginning of February with a range of new shows to attract viewers back to the channel after six years.
Configuration changes paving the way for BBC Three’s standard definition service on Sky and Freesat have commenced.
