Business channel Bloomberg has extended its free-to-view reach in the UK thanks to a new partnership with Amazon’s Freevee service.
- Viewers in the UK can now access two streaming services from Bloomberg through Amazon’s Freevee.
Bloomberg TV+ and Bloomberg Originals are now available as free ad-supported streaming (FAST) channels on Amazon Freevee in the UK as well as in the US and Germany.
This follows on from the arrival of Bloomberg TV+ on Prime Video in Canada, Mexico, Australia and Brazil.
The channels add a destination for viewers to access Bloomberg’s video content, global business coverage and analysis on Bloomberg TV+ and Bloomberg Originals programming.
Bloomberg has been traditionally made available via regular broadcast platforms, such as Sky. But with a shift to online, Bloomberg has been keen to become available where viewers are streaming. Travis Winkler, General Manager of Video and Audio, Bloomberg Media commented:
“It’s no secret that audiences are moving to streaming to consume both news and entertainment. We’ve been ahead of that curve and now, with the launch of the Bloomberg TV+ and Bloomberg Originals channels on Amazon Freevee, we can reach an even wider audience.
Bloomberg already has a presence on streaming platforms including Samsung TV Plus and Rakuten TV.
