RXTV’s new era

10 June 2024

RXTV begins a new era under new management this June.

Following technical changes that had to be brought forward to April, the completion of a project to migrate the website to new infrastructure completed this week.

RXTVinfo.com was launched in its current format in January 2021 under the management of Iain Hatton and Aidan Smith. Following their departure, RXTV’s management has now transferred to Marc Thornham, who took over the role of editor last year.

Marc Thornham commented:

I would like to extend my thanks to my predecessors in establishing RXTV and growing it to what it has become today. Going forward, the streamlining of the behind-the-scenes operation and decision-making processes by combining management and editor roles will make it easier to take the website forward and refocus it as the UK gears up to a transition to streaming TV. I would also like to thank the various press/PR operations that have supported us and look forward to continuing to work together and our loyal readers.

RXTV has been due to transfer to a new server in June, but had to bring forward some of the changes in April following ongoing issues with the old server infrastructure which took the website offline.

Between then and now, RXTV operated an interim news service to keep the website running with basic updates.

We would like to apologise to readers for disruptions in the availability of the website in the past few weeks. Minor changes may affect availability between now and the end of June, but we’re striving to reduce downtime as much as possible.
