Seen On TV launching on Freesat, extends availability on Freeview

12 June 2024

Recently launched shopping channel Seen On TV will ramp up its availability across UK households this week, becoming more widely available on Freeview and Freesat following its launch on Sky last week.

  • Seen On TV takes over Freeview capacity from EarthxTV
  • HD version of the channel to join Freesat

East Midlands-based shopping channel Seen On TV will become available in millions more households this week as it secures Freeview carriage and joins Freesat.

The channel first made its debut on Sky satellite channel 682 at the beginning of June, weeks after securing a limited availability slot on Freeview in the Manchester area.

Freesat

On Wednesday 12th June, Seen On TV will go live on Freesat channel 814, becoming a rare addition to the free-to-air satellite TV platform.

Freeview and Freely

Additionally, the broadcaster has confirmed it will go live across the UK on Freeview after securing Freeview capacity from Arqiva. The deal follows the sudden cessation of EarthxTV’s programmes on Freeview. Seen On TV is allocated Freeview channel 94 and Freely channel 462.

It becomes the second new shopping channel to launch on Freeview this year, following hot on the heels of the similarly named Shop On TV.

The channel’s CEO, Simon Iles, has presented and demonstrated goods on various current and defunct shopping channels, including Ideal World, QVC, Bid TV and Argos TV.
