Great! Network unveils bold new look

4 September 2025

The network of channels covering classic entertainment and made-for-TV movies has gone live with a revised look as it adjusts its channel line-up.

  • Great! Christmas goes on air, triggering channel changes on Freeview.
  • New logos and on-screen graphics as network has it first major revamp since replacing Sony in 2021

The Great! Network has launched a striking visual overhaul across its suite of channels, marking its first major brand refresh in four years. This revamp coincides with the seasonal return of Great! Christmas, which temporarily replaces Great! Romance in its broadcast slot until 6 January.

Originally formed in 2021 following Narrative Entertainment’s acquisition of the channels from Sony Pictures Television, the network underwent a rebranding shortly after. Now, each channel’s identity is more clearly defined, with genre-specific logos featuring distinct colours and typefaces tailored to each service.

Notably, the word “Great!” is no longer capitalised in programme guides and listings, though it remains in all-caps within the updated logos. Some broadcast platforms and the network’s own streaming service have yet to fully adopt the new branding.

As previously reported, Great! Movies has been replaced by Great! Mystery, which inherits several crime drama series that had recently populated the former channel’s schedule. Meanwhile, a streaming-only version of Great! Movies continues to operate on select platforms.

What’s changed on Freeview?

  • Channel 50: Great! Mystery has replaced Great! Movies
  • Channel 52: Great! Christmas has replaced Great! Romance
  • Channel 61: Great! Movies (streaming version) has replaced Great! Mystery (streaming version)

On Freeview, Great! Movies lives on as a streaming service available on compatible connected devices via channel 61. This replaces the former streaming version of Great! Mystery. Meanwhile, Great! Mystery has launched on channel 50 as a regular broadcast channel with a completely different schedule to the former streaming-only service.
