Sky satellite channel list will see numerous children’s channels move up as pay TV operator fills in gaps created by decline in the number of channels.
- Automatic update on Sky satellite receivers on Thursday 16 October.
- Sky Glass/Stream users are unaffected.
Sky has announced a forthcoming update to its satellite TV guide, aimed at addressing gaps left by the gradual decline in children’s channels. The changes, scheduled to take place on the morning of Thursday 16 October, affect a whole of block of services above channel 612. The exact number of affected channels depends on where you live.
The update will be automatically applied to all Sky Q devices, as well as older Sky+HD boxes still in use.
The reshuffle will also fill a slot vacated by CITV, which closed over two years ago. CITV previously occupied channel 621 before moving to 612 in 2020. As part of the upcoming changes, channel 612 will be reassigned to Nick Jr. Too.
