How to watch the AFCON finals in the UK

8 January 2026

For the first time, all Africa Cup of Nations games have been available without a subscription in the UK. To watch the final rounds of AFCON, viewers need to switch channels once again.

E4 the home of all remaining AFCON fixtures
Final takes place on 18 January

Channel 4’s surprise acquisition of UK rights to screen live Africa Cup of Nations football has given free-to-air viewers an unexpected extra helping of football. That continues throughout the next week with live coverage of every quarter-final and semi-final game, plus the third round play-off and grand final.

The opening games kicked-off on 21 December on E4. Since then, with the exception of one games, AFCON action has been screened on 4seven. Online, games have been broadcast on Channel 4 streaming with a selection also shown on YouTube. Notably, the main Channel 4 service has only carried one live AFCON game – a Boxing Day fixture featuring Egypt.

With the tournament now reaching quarter-final stage, coverage moves back to E4, which will screen all remaining AFCON fixtures. Coverage is available in HD on all platforms except Freeview. Streaming coverage continues via Channel 4 streaming.

Overview: all remaining 2025 AFCON fixtures on TV

E4: Freeview channel 13, Sky satellite channel 135, Sky Glass/Stream channel 126, Virgin Media channel 106, Freesat channel 122 and Freely channel 13.
