LG Smart TV owners can now access reality TV streaming service hayu as a standalone service on their devices. The streaming service is best known for US reality shows Keeping Up with the Kardashians and Million Dollar Listing.
NBCUniversal has announced that hayu is now available on all LG TVs running webOS 4.0 through webOS 6.0. The service has launched on LG TVs in the UK, Ireland and 25 other countries.
Previously in the UK, hayu was available on LG Smart TVs within the NOW (TV) app and through its Hayu membership plan. Users can now opt to access the service via Hayu’s standalone app and subscription.
In total, hayu offers over 8,000 episodes of reality TV content. The service offers a wide variety of unscripted sub-genres in English language including: Home and Design, Dating, Cooking, Fashion and True Crime. The vast majority of US shows are available on hayu the same day as their US broadcast.
NBCUniversal’s Hendrik McDermott said:
