ITV is making its festive programmes available online before they’re broadcast on TV. ITV’s Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day programmes will be released each morning on the ITV Hub, ahead of their evening broadcast.
The commercial broadcaster has long been the underdog in the battle for viewers over Christmas, losing out to BBC One. Now, ITV is striking back by allowing viewers to watch its programmes first.
This means the feature length special of The Larkins, the Christmas Day episodes of Coronation Street and Emmerdale and other highlights including Breaking Dad at Christmas and The Chase Christmas Special can be streamed whenever it suits the viewer.
The full list of shows, which will be made available on ITV Hub from 7am, ahead of their evening broadcast, include:
- Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day episodes of Coronation Street and Emmerdale
