A summer of 1970s music comes to an end for most Freeview viewers, with a music channel swap over taking place on Wednesday 25th August.
Viewers tuning in to Freeview channel 76 will see 80s hits return to the airwaves, with NOW 80s taking over. NOW 70s will continue on channel 75, but for viewers in Manchester only.
NOW 70s was handed NOW 80s slot in April for a temporary period to showcase the channel across more of the UK. However, NOW 80s usually hands over its Freeview slot for NOW XMAS in the run up to Christmas, so the return of NOW 80s may be brief.
Freeview channel 76 has limited UK coverage. It is exclusively available on newer devices that support either “Freeview HD” or “Freeview Play”. It is part of a multiplex (or bundle of channels) that includes BBC Four HD, Quest HD and Freesports.
