Sky says that every single EFL Championship, League One and League Two team will be featured more than 20 times on its broadcast and streaming services in the coming season.

Sky has guaranteed that every Championship, League One and League Two team will be featured live on Sky more than 20 times in the 2026/27 season, starting with full coverage of every game during the opening weekend of the season.
The EFL kicks off on Friday 14 August, a week before the Premier League, meaning the normal 3pm blackout doesn’t apply for the opening weekend.
Once again, Sky Sports+ will be the home of EFL coverage. Sky Sports+ consists of a linear channel, plus a streaming platform, which will show all games not shown on the regular broadcast channel.
In total, Sky will broadcast over 1,000 games from 1,891 matches across the EFL, Carabao Cup and EFL Trophy during the 2026-27 season.
Midweek and Holiday fixtures
Additionally, Sky has confirmed:
- All midweek fixtures in the EFL will be shown live,
- All games played on Bank Holidays including Easter, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. will also be available live.
- Every match played in League One and Two during international breaks will also be broadcast live.
- All final day fixtures across the EFL will also be available live on Sky Sports.
All matches selected for broadcast for the period to the end of September will be announced by Thursday 2 July. All TV selections will be confirmed for the period up to the FA Cup Third Round on the weekend of 9 January 2027.
The first match of the Champions sees newly-relegated Wolves hosting Blackburn Rovers at Molineux on Friday 14 August with an 8pm kick-off. The all-Welsh opener between Cardiff City and Wrexham is live on Monday 17 August.

Meanwhile, all remaining opening matchday fixtures in the Championship, League One and League Two will kick-off at 3pm on Saturday 15 August. These will be available as live streams through Sky Sports+.
