The roll-out of the Twitch app is already well underway on smart TVs from Hitachi, JVC, Toshiba and more.
Vestel, the Turkish manufacturer of consumer electronics, which owns the brand rights for a number of premium and supermarket brands, announced their partnership with Twitch today.
Through the app, users can browse Twitch channels and watch live streams. This applies to any Vestel-manufactured Smart TVs in Europe that have been produced from June 2018 onwards, once the roll-out is complete.
The Twitch community will find it easy to navigate the app on their TVs, only having to click on the remote controls’ arrow buttons to find content. Twitch account holders can sign in on their TVs, so that they can keep up with the latest live broadcasts from the streamers they follow.
Vestel brands
You may have a Vestel-manufactured TV without knowing.
TVs from Digihome, Finlux, Hitachi, JVC, Techwood, Telefunken or Toshiba sold in the UK are currently made by Vestel.
Vestel used to make TVs from Alba, Bush and Technika. UMC now produces these TVs.
RXTV Info can confirm the app has already begun roll-out on Vestel TVs, and appeared on our Toshiba test model earlier this month. RXTV uses a small selection of devices to access various platforms, channels and apps in order to verify reports and check services.
