The new ViacomCBS streaming service, which launches in the UK next year, will include a range of British drama and factual series.
UK content will be in addition to the previously confirmed content from SHOWTIME®, BET, CBS, Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, Paramount Pictures and the Smithsonian Channel.
Ben Frow, Chief Content Officer at ViacomCBS Networks UK confirmed that the service will feature high-end, original drama and documentary content from the UK, alongside an expansive catalogue of hit shows and movies from ViacomCBS’ world-renowned brands and studios.
Frow, best known for revamping the ViacomCBS-owned Channel 5, has invited independent producers to pitch ideas for the new service.
Paramount Plus will become available on Sky Q during 2022. In addition, the service will appear as an app on a number of streaming devices. The company is due to announce further details, including price, closer to the launch date.
