All Virgin TV customers can now upgrade to Virgin Media’s newest TV platform, regardless of their subscription level.
From today, Virgin TV customers will no longer need to change boxes to benefit from the upgrade. Existing V6 boxes can be upgraded to the Virgin TV 360 platform via a software update. Previously, only new customers and customers on Virgin’s highest-tier subscription service were able to select Virgin TV 360.
An upgrade will cost a one-off £24.95, which will open up features including Voice Control, Startover and improved personalisation. Over two thirds of Virgin TV customers currently use a non-upgraded Virgin V6 Box.
Additionally, all Virgin TV customers can add up to two Virgin TV 360 Mini boxes for multi-room viewing. The first Mini box costs £10 a month, the second £5 a month (£15 a month combined). “Ultimate Oomph” subscribers can claim a free upgrade to Virgin TV 360 and a free first Mini box.
