As streaming services face increased competition and a spending squeeze, Apple is making Apple TV+ available for free for three months if you have an eligible device.
Samsung Smart TV owners with a 2018-2022 model can redeem the offer by opening the Apple TV app on the Samsung TV home screen and following the on-screen instructions.
A similar offer is available to users of Roku streaming sticks and boxes through the Apple TV app.
Apple says the promotion will run until 28th November 2022. But only new Apple TV+ subscribers will qualify for the three months promotion.
Apple also has a long running promotion giving three months access to customers buying an Apple device.
Apple TV+ is the home of Apple Original dramas and comedy series, feature films, documentaries, and kids and family entertainment, including this year’s Oscar Best Picture winner CODA and hit series such as Severance, Ted Lasso, Loot, Pachinko, For All Mankind and many more.
In the UK, Apple TV+ is normally offered at £4.99 a month. In the Republic of Ireland, the monthly fee is €4.99.
Streaming companies are in the middle of a desperate attempt to gain and retain customers as households are forced to evaluate their monthly outgoings. Apple TV+ is one of the cheaper options available at the moment.
