The La Liga TV channel is going online-only, following the latest rights deal between Premier Sports and the Spanish league.
La Liga TV was removed from Sky channel 427 earlier on Thursday (30th). It will be pulled from Virgin Media at midnight. But Sky and Virgin Media users will be able to continue watching live La Liga fixtures in the coming seasons through Premier Sports.
However, the La Liga TV channel will continue to be available through Amazon Prime Video Channels and the Premier Player – Premier Sport’s online streaming service. Via these platforms, the channel will continue to offer subscribers wall-to-wall coverage of La Liga, including live games, replays, highlights and features.
Premier Sports and La Liga recently signed a new three year agreement running up to the end of the 2024-25 season.
Premier Sports launched La Liga TV on Sky and Virgin as part of its last broadcast rights deal, which aimed to boost the league’s profile after an unsuccessful deal with Eleven Sports.
The Premier Sports subscription package for Sky UK viewers includes access to the Premier Player app. The Premier Sports Sky pack is available for £14.99 on a rolling monthly basis. Discounts are available for those who commit for longer. An annual subscription costs £99.99 upfront, or £9.99 on a monthly payment basis with a 12 month minimum term.
Standalone access to La Liga’s TV channel online is currently available for £7.99 a month through Premier Sports.
