The teleshopping broadcaster has turned off its standard definition versions of QVC and QVC Style on satellite.
It follows the launch of both channels in HD a month ago on both Sky and Freesat. Sister channels QVC Beauty and QVC Extra currently remain available in standard definition only.
When the HD switch took place, users of older Sky and Freesat boxes were left without access to the main QVC channel, as the SD service was de-listed from channel guides as a precursor to this week’s move.
On Virgin Media, SD versions of QVC and QVC Style were also switched off in favour of HD versions before Easter.
Freeview continues to carry QVC, QVC Beauty and QVC Style in SD. QVC’s HD services on Freeview – available in some areas only – is due to come to an end in the next few weeks.
