Sky has rolled out its NOW streaming app across a range of new devices, which promises to make the service more widely available.
The Comcast-owned company has announced that its NOW streaming service has rolled out across Google TV devices, including Chromecast and across a wide range of smart TVs that run Android TV OS.
Originally, NOW also sold its own brand of box, manufactured by Roku, to enable users to upgrade their TV to access streaming services. But with smart TVs and dongles widely available across households, Sky’s attention has focused on making the NOW app available on existing devices, rather than selling its own.
Over the last few years the NOW app has already expanded availability across big screen devices from brands including Sony, Apple TV, Roku, Amazon, Samsung, PlayStation and Xbox.
Streaming devices that now support NOW…
The NOW app has been added to the following devices:
- Chromecast with Google TV
- NVidia Shield

The NOW app joins smart TVs running Google TV and other Android TV OS devices.
This includes Android TV models from the following manufacturers:
- Bush
- Hitachi

Users can download the app from the Google Play Store, add their memberships and start streaming. Non-Android TV models from the above manufacturers will not have access to NOW (TV).
