Until 25th October, Virgin Media customers can access 15 premium Asian TV channels including Utsav Gold and Zee TV at no extra cost.
The TV channels included are part of Virgin Media’s Asian Mela bundle. It normally costs £12 per month.
As a result of the freebie, fans of reality TV can watch popular celebrity shows like Bigg Boss, the Indian version of Endemol Shine Group’s hit format show Big Brother, and the Indian version of Dancing with the Stars, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, both broadcast on Colors.
Also, celebrated Indian drama, Anupama, airs on Utsav Plus starring Rupali Ganguly as Anupama and follows the life of a devoted Gujrati housewife to explore her fight for self-respect, dignity and pride to set out to live life on her own terms.
Virgin Media O2 has previously opened up the TV channels over Diwali. Last year, the campaign ran from 1-14th November. This year, Diwali is on 24th October.
Commenting on the move, David Bouchier, Chief TV & Entertainment Officer at Virgin Media O2, said:
“Diwali is such an exciting festival to bring families and friends together, that’s why we’re making 15 premium Asian TV channels available at no extra cost. This includes all the best programming and movies from India in HD, with some shows completely exclusive to Virgin Media.”
