As the skiing and snowboarding season nears, WBD Sports confirms every major World Cup and World Championship event will be available across its network, including Eurosport in the UK.
WBD Sports will air 600 races and 3,500 hours of winter sports action over the next six months on discovery+, Eurosport and the Eurosport App. As a result, WBD promises that fans will have access to the most comprehensive coverage.
Warner Bros. Discovery’s digital platforms, including Eurosport.com and its social platforms, will offer fans the opportunity to watch live and on-demand. The confirmed Warner Bros. Discovery Sports experts are: Martin Schmitt, ski jumping, Olympic gold medallist. Martin is joined by Tina Maze, alpine skiing, two-time Olympic gold medallist and Justyna Kowalczyk, cross-country skiing, two-time Olympic gold medallist.
The winter sports season kicks off with the opening round of the FIS World Cup in Soelden, Austria with a women’s and men’s giant slalom. The FIS Ski Jumping season starts on 5th November from Wisla, Poland.
The season reaches its peak in February and March 2023. The Alpine World Ski Championships take place in Courchevel Meribel between 6-19th February 2023. After that, the Nordic World Ski Championships in Planica, Slovenia runs from 22nd February to 5th March 2023.
