Test transmissions have begun ahead of the arrival of new decades music channel That’s 70s on the Sky satellite platform.
That’s TV, which started out as a local TV operator, is continuing the rollout of its music channels with a channel dedicated to playing nothing but music from 1970s expected to launch within the next few weeks on Sky. A channel number has yet to be confirmed.
That’s 70s is one of four music channels currently operated by That’s TV, which started life as a local TV provider. Two of the channels – That’s 60s and 80s – arrived on Sky at the beginning of the year. That’s 70s commenced test transmissions on the Astra 2F satellite this morning.
According to That’s TV, to facilitate the new channels, aQ Broadcast was contracted to install a new playout system located at Arqiva premises. Arqiva is now uplinking the channels to satellite.

Freeview viewers in Manchester are able to receive additional That’s TV channels following the acquisition of the former Channel M multiplex by That’s Media in 2022.
