The BBC has moved the Northern Irish channel from Sky transponder capacity following the completion of its own HD channel upgrade.
BBC Two Northern Ireland HD officially became available on Sky and Freesat in January, using temporary capacity on one of Sky’s transponders while engineering work to upgrade BBC channels took place.
Sky and Freesat receivers should automatically update, but viewers using a non-Sky/Freesat receiver, more typical in the Republic of Ireland, will need to retune to continue watching BBC Two NI HD.
Any Freesat box that hasn’t automatically updated should be reset.
In Northern Ireland, BBC Two NI HD is available on Sky Q/Sky+HD and Freesat HD channel 102. In the rest of the UK, the channel is available on SkyQ/Sky+HD channel 970 and Freesat HD channel 969. In the Republic of Ireland, BBC Two NI HD is on Sky Q/Sky+HD channel 142.
