The glitch has left Freesat users without full listings for some channels, which may affect viewers attempting to record programmes.
Freesat says missing guide data affects Channel 4 and its offshoot channels from 25th February.
The free-to-air platform operator says it is working on a fix to resolve the issue. In addition to affecting receivers, the missing data is also affecting Freesat’s online TV guide.
The channels affected are:
- Channel 4 (SD, HD and +1)
- E4 (and +1)
- E4 Extra
- Film4 (and +1)
- More 4 (and +1)
Freesat normally offers a full seven day TV guide across all of its channels. This TV guide is also used by selected smart TVs, which support Freesat.
Its 4K boxes also support a backwards guide going back a week to allow viewers to select programmes to watch via catch up TV services.
This functionality was first introduced in Freesat’s second generation “Freetime” Humax boxes back in 2012.
