Hayu launches on Sky Glass & Stream

10 November 2023

The reality entertainment subscription streaming app from NBCUniversal has arrived on Sky’s internet-based TV service.

  • Hayu app now available on Sky Glass and Sky Stream in the UK and Ireland.
  • App to launch on SkyQ next year.

NBCUniversal, the operators of the app, have today confirmed the arrival of Hayu across Sky Glass and Sky Stream. Users can find Hayu via the apps rail or by using a voice command

Hayu content includes reality shows including The Real Housewives, Million Dollar Listing, Below Deck and Vanderpump Rules.

Accessing Hayu on Sky Glass and Sky Stream

Current Hayu subscribers can sign in to the app on Sky Stream and Sky Glass. New subscribers can go via Sky Marketplace to gain access. The standard price for a one-month subscription is £4.99 (€5.99 in ROI).

The library of reality shows complements NBCUniversal’s linear channel E!, which is slated for closure in the UK and Ireland, following the closure of localised versions of E! internationality. As a result Hayu becomes NBCUniversal’s main reality destination.

Sky Q

Sky subscribers who access Sky’s services through a Sky Q box will gain access to Hayu “next year”.

Corporate comment

Hendrik McDermott, MD, EMEA Networks, Hayu and Direct-to-Consumer, NBCUniversal said he was pleased with the expansion of Hayu’s distribution. He commented:

“Hayu’s integration with Sky Glass and Sky Stream reinforces our commitment to provide reality fans with a seamless viewing experience. Sky customers can expect nothing less than top-tier reality content, full seasons, and uninterrupted, ad-free viewing.”

NBCUniversal and Sky are both part of Comcast, but trade as separate entities.
