Apple has rolled out a redesigned Apple TV app which promises to allow users to quickly navigate the app.

- iTunes Store app on iPhone and iPad will from now on direct users to the new Apple TV app
The main feature is the simplified interface’s new sidebar. This is designed to allow users to quickly navigate the app, providing access to Apple TV+, Store (where users can buy and rent movies), and shortcuts to other channels and apps viewers may already have, such as Disney+, Paramount+ and Max.
Other new features
- The new sidebar navigation also introduces Home, a unified guide for all the shows, movies, and sports viewers desire.
- Within Home, the Channels & Apps section allows you to browse each of your subscribed channels or connected apps in depth.
- Collections — including New Shows & Movies, Top Charts, Trending, and For You — provide you with tailored recommendations.
- On living room devices, the sidebar also features profiles (pictured above).That allows you to switch between users for better personalisation in Up Next and content recommendations across the app.
- The updated Store tab in the app brings together TV shows and movies into one place. This is where you’ll easily access everything available to buy or rent. Store also includes a new Add Channels & Apps shelf where you can find and explore popular streaming services.
A further major change: The iTunes Store app on iPhone and iPad, and the iTunes Movies and iTunes TV Shows apps on Apple TV 4K and Apple TV HD will from now on redirect users to the Apple TV app.
