Sky Kids launch triggers channel changes

3 February 2023

Sky’s new children’s channel launches this month, which will result in channel changes across its satellite and streaming platforms.

Sky confirmed recently that Sky Kids will launch on 13th February. But ahead of its official launch date, it will take up a slot on Sky satellite channel 609 in both the UK and Republic of Ireland. As a result, Baby TV moves to channel 626 on 8th February.

On Sky Glass and Sky Stream, the arrival of Sky Kids will result in a number of children’s channels moving to new positions on the Electronic Programme Guide on 8th February.

Sky Kids is ad-free and available at no extra cost to existing Sky Kids customers. The channel targets children up to the age of 7. Sky Kids’ schedule includes Morph, Pip and Posy, Obki and Ama’s Story, as well as franchise favourites such as Where’s Wally, Miffy and Clifford The Big Red Dog.

Sky subscribers without the Sky Kids package can upgrade for £6 (UK) / €8 (ROI) a month. The channel will also be available on NOW.

Sky Glass/Sky Stream channel changes in the UK

  • Sky Kids will launch on channel 203, directly after the BBC’s children’s channels.
  • As a result, all other children’s channels will move down by one.
