It’s Sky’s second UHD sports channel and is available on Sky Q, Sky Glass/Stream and Virgin Media.
Sky Sports F1 UHD launched this morning on Virgin Media and arrived on Sky Q at around 3pm this afternoon. The launch comes ahead of this weekend’s first race of the season – the Bahrain GP, which is live on Sky Sports F1 at 3pm on Sunday 5th March 2023.
The channel joins Sky Sports Main Event UHD, which first launched last year. Sky also offers a selection of other sports in UHD via a dedicated red button channel, or via Virgin Media channel 534.
Sky Q customers in the UK and Ireland with the complete Sky Sports package can now watch live sports in UHD/HDR on the Sky Sports Main Event Ultra HD and Sky Sports F1 Ultra HD channels. For eligible customers, Sky Sports F1 UHD will appear on 406, replacing the former HD channel.
Sky Glass/Stream customers with the appropriate subscription will also see Sky Sports F1 UHD on channel 406.
On Virgin Media, Sky Sports F1 UHD has arrived on channel 533, moving Sky Sports UHD1, which contains various sports output from other Sky Sports channels in UHD to channel 534.
