TNT Sports takes over Eurosport channel numbers on Sky

13 July 2023

TNT Sports launches next Tuesday 18th July, with the BT Sport replacement service relegating sister channel Eurosport in the process.

TNT Sports will continue to broadcast all the sport previously shown on BT Sport. This includes live Premier League football and Premership Rugby. But under its new ownership, its two main channels will be prioritised over sister channel Eurosport on Sky satellite.

Eurosport will continue its focus on sports including athletics, cycling, winter sports and all things Olympic, at least until the middle of next year. But Eurosport 1 and 2 will move down to Sky satellite channels 413 and 414.

  • If you currently receive BT Sport as part of your pay TV subscription package, this will turn into a TNT Sports subscription.

On most platforms, the BT Sport channels will simply morph into TNT Sports on Tuesday. For example, TNT Sports will simply appear wherever BT Sport used to be. However, on Sky Q and Sky+HD, during the course of Tuesday morning, TNT Sports 1 and 2 will shuffle up to channel 410 & 411. Eurosport will move down to replace BT Sport on channels 413 and 414.

TNT Sports 3 and 4 will appear further down the Sky channel list, as shown in the table below.

On Sky satellite you’ll see the channels in HD if you have the relevant subscription and receiver, otherwise the channels will appear in SD. For Sky Glass, Sky Stream and Virgin Media users, the channels default to HD. On BT, there is no HD substitution, meaning the HD channels are further down the channel list.

Eurosport and BT Sport were merged under common ownership last year. Over the summer BT closed its broadcast centre in Stratford, East London. The BT Sport channels are now being broadcast by Warner Bros Discovery (WBD) from Chiswick ahead of their switch to TNT Sport. Although both BT and WBD remain joint owners of TNT Sports and Eurosport, BT is expected to sell its share to WBD in the coming years. Eurosport in the UK and Ireland is expected to be integrated further into TNT Sports.
