Classic television channel That’s TV has made its debut on Virgin Media’s cable and streaming platform alongside one of its music channel offshoots.
That’s TV (UK) has launched on Virgin Media channel 150, meaning customers can now watch classic music videos during the day followed by classic drama, comedy and reality shows in the evening.
Current highlights include a complete re-run of 1970s BBC One sitcom Sykes and the more recent BBC drama In Deep, starring Nick Berry and Stephen Tomkinson. That’s TV is also the current home of Benidorm and The Jerry Springer Show.
1960s music channel also new to Virgin Media
Meanwhile, That’s 60s, a music channel dedicated to showing nothing but hits from the 1960s has joined Virgin Media on channel 296.
Virgin Media was the last of the major platform operators to carry the national version of That’s TV, although its local services were available in a limited number of areas. Both That’s TV UK and That’s 60s are already widely available on Freeview, Freesat and Sky satellite.
Ironically, the move means That’s TV’s national service is found on a higher position on the channel list than its local service (where available) on channel 159. The local service, linked to an Ofcom Local TV licence must have greater prominence (i.e. have a higher ranking slot) on most TV platforms except Virgin, according to Ofcom rules.

The launch of the two channels follows last week’s major channel update, which saw numerous channels move to new positions on Virgin Media’s channel list.
