BBC coverage of this summer’s Euro 2024 football tournament will include a 24/7 channel screening 27 games live, plus additional build up and analysis of the games.

- BBC sharing coverage with ITV, but has first choice over the quarter-finals.

Gary Lineker, Gabby Logan and Alex Scott have been confirmed as taking the lead in the BBC’s TV coverage of the men’s football tournament in Germany this summer.
The BBC, who will be sharing coverage with ITV will show England’s first two group games against Serbia on 16th June and Denmark on 20th June on television as Gareth Southgate’s squad begin their bid to go one step further than they did in Euro 2020. The broadcaster will also show Scotland’s group games against Switzerland on 19th June and Hungary on 23rd June.
Live coverage will be available on either BBC One or BBC Two. Replays and highlights will be broadcast most evenings on BBC One, but times will vary. It will be a packed month for BBC schedules, thanks to Wimbledon (from 1st July) and Glastonbury (28th June-30th June).
BBC pop-up channel
Viewers will be able to stream all games live through the new BBC iPlayer Euros channel, which will be live for the duration of the tournament.
How to watch
If you have a compatible connected TV or device, including Sky Q, Sky Stream, EE TV, Virgin Media 360 or Stream, Freeview Play, Freely or Freesat 4K, you’ll be able to press red to access the iPlayer and the Euros channel on your TV. Coverage will be available in HD (subject to the speed of your internet connection).
The new channel is one of a range of new pop-up channels that will be streaming this summer, joining similar services for Wimbledon and Glastonbury. The service replaces the old red button multi-stream service that was only available to satellite and cable viewers.
The channel will feature build-up content, matches from the Euros archive featuring the best games of the tournament’s recent history, plus live matches, additional analysis and highlights. This includes Euros Breakdown with Alex Scott, with a deeper look into the biggest matches, providing exclusive match reaction and insights.
Who else will be on the BBC’s presenting and commentating team?
Linekar, Logan, Chapman and Scott will be joined Guy Mowbray, Robyn Cowen, Vicki Sparks, Steve Wilson, Steve Bower and Jonathan Pearce on commentary duties. Joining them as co-commentators are Jermaine Jenas, Danny Murphy, Martin Keown, James McFadden as well as Alan Shearer who will be in the commentary box for England’s opener against Serbia on 16th June.
Who is showing what?
The BBC and ITV will share coverage. BBC games will be available on BBC One or BBC Two, plus on the BBC iPlayer’s Euro 2024 channel.
ITV’s coverage will be on ITV1 and ITVX. Viewers in Central and Northern Scotland can watch via STV and the STV Player.
