Upcoming Nations League games featuring Scotland and Northern Ireland will now also be live and free-to-air, with coverage on ITV3 and ITV4 and live streaming on ITVX.
- Deal struck with original rightsholder Viaplay.

- ITV already holds the rights to England games.
ITV will show the upcoming Men’s Scotland and Northern Ireland Nations League fixtures, free to air, following a deal with Viaplay.
Viaplay originally secured the broadcast rights when it was attempting to develop its streaming and sports channel business in the UK. However, it’s sold its sports channels to Premier Sports and has been sublicensing any remaining rights it holds for the UK.
It’s good news for Scottish football supporters, who have been calling for Scotland games to get the same free-to-air treatment as England. However, the current ITV deal only covers the next two games.
Scotland Nations League games on ITV
- Scotland v Poland – Thursday 5th September – 19:30 – ITV4 and ITVX
- Portugal v Scotland – Sunday 8th September – 19:30 – ITV4 and ITVX
Northern Ireland Nations League games on ITV
- Northern Ireland v Luxembourg – Thursday 5th September – 19:30 – ITV3 and ITVX
- Bulgaria v Northern Ireland – Sunday 8th September – 19:30 – ITVX live stream
England Nations League coverage on ITV
ITV was already the rights holder for live coverage of England games in the Nations League. ITV1 and ITVX will carry live coverage of Republic of Ireland v England on Saturday 7th September from 16:00.
ITV1 is also the home of England v Finland on 10th September, from 18:45. STV will simulcast coverage on its Channel 3 service in Central and Northern Scotland.
