- ITVX will show a Serie A football match live and for free every Saturday night until the end of the season.
ITV strikes agreement to stream eight live Italian top flight football games between now and the end of the current season.
The Saturday night fixture between Empoli and Torino on Saturday (6th) will be the first game to be streamed on ITVX.
ITVX will stream Bologna v Monza the following Saturday (13th) followed by Verona v Udinese on Saturday 20th April 2024.
The remaining five matches in the deal will be confirmed in due course. Each match will kick-off at 7:45pm UK.
Serie A games were previously exclusive to watch on TNT Sports and Discovery+ in the UK.
Not on ITV4
In a major change of tact, ITV isn’t making these games available free-to-air on ITV4. The channel would have once been the default channel for additional football rights.
ITV is attempting to boost take up of ITVX, which fully launched in December 2022 replacing the ITV Hub. Viewers will need to register to access ITVX. A subscription is not required to watch the football.
