Three new channels for Samsung TV Plus

24 May 2024

Users of the streaming channel service offered on Samsung Smart TVs, mobiles and tablets can now access additional channels following May’s update to the platform.

  • Steven Bartlett-fronted channel among new additions this month.
  • New children’s and movie channels added.

Samsung has activated three new channels to Samsung TV Plus users in the UK this month, with a popular podcast now becoming a TV channel in its own right.

Diary of a CEO, or DOAC for short, started off as a podcast by Dragon’s Den star Steven Bartlett. In it, Bartlett interviews a range of influential people from business, science and culture. Popular episodes so far include an interview with ex-Google Chief Business Officer Mo Gawdat on the dangers of AI and a chat with Harvard Professor Daniel Lieberman on the seven big lies about exercise, sleep, running, cancer and sugar.

  • DOAC is now available on channel 4401 in the lifestyle section of Samsung TV Plus.

Meanwhile, children can look forward to the new Pocoyo channel. The children’s animated, narrated by Stephen Fry, features a little boy who loves to play and explore.

  • Pocoyo is now available on channel 4617 in the kids section of Samsung TV Plus.

Film lovers can now access Icon Films as a streaming channel through Samsung. The self-proclaimed home of blockbuster hits, cult-classics and award-winning cinema was already available across a number of smart TV and streaming platforms via its app. Its addition on Samsung TV Plus gives viewers direct access to the channel without needing the app.

  • Icon Films is now available on channel 4987 on the movies section of Samsung TV Plus.
