Additional high quality coverage of the Roland-Garros French Open now available across Virgin Media UK’s cable and streaming platforms.
- 4K UHD channel opens up ahead of main fortnight of tennis action from Paris
Virgin Media O2 has activated the Eurosport 4K UHD channel allowing subscribers to access UHD coverage of the Roland-Garros tournament for the main part of the event. Qualifiers started back on Monday.
With immediate effect, the Eurosport 4K pop-up channel is now available on Virgin Media channel 523.
The UK is one of eight countries where Eurosport 4K is being made available for the French Open. Additionally, Sky will be making Eurosport 4K available across the UK and Ireland via the red button for the later stages of the tournament. Eurosport 4K is also available in Austria, Germany, Italy, Poland, Portugal and Spain via local platform operators.
Meanwhile for streamers, Discovery+ provides full access to all UHD tennis games from Roland-Garros, regardless of whether your main TV provider offers Eurosport 4K. Eurosport content is available with Discovery+ Standard tier subscription (UK) or the Entertainment & Sport tier (Ireland).
Eurosport 4K will continue to provide wall-to-wall UHD coverage of the Roland-Garros tennis tournament until just after the finals on 9th June. Eurosport will be back with UHD coverage of the 2024 Paris Olympics later in the summer.
