Virgin Media offers children’s TV freebie for October

From Tuesday 1st October, all Virgin Media TV customers in the UK will have access to the cable company’s children’s channel offer.

  • Sky Kids, Cartoon Network, Nick Jr among channels opened up to all customers.
  • Freebie is worth up to £5.

Throughout October, all Virgin TV customers will be given access to additional kids TV channels free of charge including Sky Kids, Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, Nick Jr, Nick Jr Too and Nicktoons. Newly upgraded Boomerang and Cartoonito, now available in HD are also included in the giveaway.

The suite of children’s TV channels would normally cost £5 per month. Virgin Media O2 says the offer its way of saying thank you to customers and helping to keep families entertained throughout October, including half term, with a host of popular shows available to watch at home or on the go.

Programmes available at no extra cost include Teen Titans Go! (Cartoon Network), PAW Patrol (Nick Jr), SpongeBob SquarePants (Nickelodeon) and Isadora Moon (Sky Kids), meaning there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Programmes from the channels are also available on-demand. The offer ends 31st October 2024.

Virgin Media children’s channels are found in the 700 channel range on the TV guide.

Broadcast changes

The following channel has switched from terrestrial broadcast to HbbTV hybrid streaming.

  • 205: POP [COM4/SDN]

The existing terrestrial linear broadcast of POP is closing and moves to channel 790 [COM6/ArqB] following a retune.

Multiplex change

Depending on your device, you may need to retune to continue watching this channel. It may be longer available in your area.

  • 287: Nolly Africa Hybrid streaming channel moves from COM4/SDN to Local/Comux.
