ITV confirms return of Oscar channel as part of this year’s coverage

23 January 2025

ITV holds the broadcast rights to live coverage of the 97th Oscars Ceremony taking place at the beginning of March.

  • Oscars Red Carpet coverage to be live on both ITV1 and ITVX
  • ITVX to re-launch dedicated Oscars film channel.
  • STV and STV Player providing coverage for viewers in central and northern Scotland.

For the second year running, ITV1, ITVX, STV and STV Player will be the exclusive UK home of the prestigious Oscars in the UK on the night of Sunday 2nd March 2025.

Viewers can join Jonathan Ross live on ITV1, ITVX, STV and STV Player as he hosts a special show bringing all of Hollywood’s action to UK viewers, including live coverage of the Oscars red carpet with Ross King broadcasting directly from the event at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, followed by the coveted awards ceremony which begins at midnight.

Meanwhile, ITVX will re-launch its dedicated Oscars channel for the second year running. The Oscars 24/7 Channel will feature Oscar-winning and nominated movies celebrating the best of past winners and contenders including the likes of Gone Girl, L.A. Confidential, Drive and The Help.
