Channel changes follow the closure of Eurosport in the UK at the end of last month and the introduction of a new streaming sports channel.
- New channel numbers for TNT Sports on Virgin Media’s UK TV platform.
Virgin Media customers can now find TNT Sports on new channel numbers. The change, which was implemented on Friday means viewers can now find TNT Sports on the channel numbers previously occupied by Eurosport.
- TNT Sports 1 is now on channel 521 (previously Eurosport 1)
- TNT Sports 2 is now on channel 522 (previously Eurosport 2)
- TNT Sports 3 is now on channel 523 (previously Eurosport UHD)
- TNT Sports 4 is now on channel 524
- TNT Sports Ultimate 4K UHD is now on channel 525.
Virgin Media is temporarily showing information slates on TNT’s old channel numbers (527-531), redirecting viewers to their new home.
Additionally, Virgin Media has opened up new streaming channel Red Bull TV on channel 556. The channel showcases everything from motorsport to biking, snowboarding and more. The channel is not available on TiVo boxes; viewers will need to upgrade to gain access to this and other streaming channels on the platform.
Red Bull TV is available at no extra cost to Virgin Media TV viewers. However, the removal of Eurosport does reduce the channel choice for viewers on lower subscription tiers, just as Virgin Media prepares to implement its annual price rise.
