For the second time in a matter of weeks, Sky is reshuffling movie channels on its satellite and streaming platforms as it closes another channel.
- Sky Cinema Animation channel axed.
- Changes to pay and free channels including Talking Pictures and Great! Action.
Sky ends April with a second reshuffle of movie channels in as many months.
On the morning of Thursday 30 April, Sky closed its Sky Cinema Animation channel, which was bumped from its original slot in March when Disney+ Cinema arrived on the platform.
The closure triggered an update to the channel line-up, issued to receivers on Thursday morning. This includes a wide-ranging reshuffle on Sky’s satellite TV platform (Sky Q). There’s some changes on its streaming service (Sky Glass & Sky Stream) as well.
Sky Satellite changes 30 April 2026
On satellite, the closure of Sky Animation HD, for the last five weeks on channel 312, has triggered the following changes to Sky’s Electronic Programme Guide (EPG).

The reshuffle undoes changes to Movies 24 back in March when services were pushed down the channel list.
Narrative Entertainment, the company behind the GREAT! Network of channels moves its action channel up the ranking as part of the reshuffle.
Sky Streaming changes 30 April 2026
A smaller number of changes affect viewers using Sky Glass and Stream.
Sky Animation, since March on channel 315 is removed with no immediate replacement service on that channel number, according to Sky.
Additionally, the following channel changes have taken place.

This channel swap brings the ordering of GREAT! Network channels into alignment with satellite.
