Apple TV+ now available through Prime Video in the UK

5 December 2024

Global rollout of Apple TV+ via Amazon’s Prime Video platform reaches the UK, where it’s available as an add-on subscription.

  • Bad Sisters, Silo, Slow Horses, Ted Lasso among shows available on Apple TV+
  • Apple TV+ also includes coverage of Major League Soccer and Major League Baseball
  • Service also goes live on Prime Video in Canada and Australia.

Apple and Amazon confirm the arrival of Apple TV+ on Prime Video in the UK

Prime members who subscribe to Apple TV+ will have access to entertainment including Severance, Bad Sisters, Silo, Slow Horses, Ted Lasso, The Morning Show, Presumed Innocent, Shrinking, Hijack, Loot and Palm Royale. Subscribers also have access to coverage of Major League Soccer and Major League Baseball sporting events.

Pricing and terms

The Apple TV+ add-on subscription costs £8.99 a month, on a rolling monthly basis.

Prime members can subscribe to Apple TV+ with no extra apps to download beyond Prime Video. The subscription can be cancelled at any time.

Given Prime Video’s widespread availability across smart TVs, streaming sticks/dongles and cable and satellite receivers, the arrival of Apple TV+ will give Apple a massive boost in coverage in UK homes.

The Apple TV+ rollout on Amazon’s streaming platform is part of a wider global rollout. US users gained access to Apple TV+ via Prime Video back in October. Canada and Australia join the UK in the next wave of expansion.

Corporate comment

Kelly Day, Vice President of International, Prime Video commented:

“We’re delighted to continue to roll-out Apple TV+ on Prime Video with the launches in the UK, Canada and Australia, bringing Prime Video customers an even greater selection of TV shows and films, all in one app experience.”

Eddy Cue, Apple’s SVP of Services noted:

“We want to make Apple TV+ and its award-winning library of series and films from the world’s greatest storytellers available to as many people as possible.”
