Pipped at the post: Trace Music will launch its Christmas channel one day earlier than GREAT! Movies to claim the title of first UK Christmas channel of the year.
Trace Hits on Sky channel 359 and online at traceplus.tv will be rebranded Trace Christmas on Wednesday 22nd September 2021, providing viewers with over three months of back-to-back Christmas songs.
The seasonal rebrand is nine days earlier than last year, when Trace Christmas launched at the beginning of October.
With the move, Trace beats GREAT! Movies Christmas (formerly Sony Movies Christmas) by one day: the Christmas movie channel is usually the first seasonal service to go live. This year, it hits the airwaves on Thursday 23rd September.
Trace Christmas will not be the only seasonal music channel this year. NOW80s will shortly rebrand to NOW XMAS. Further seasonal rebrands are also due to take place closer to the time.
