A fire at BBC Scotland took radio programmes off air for over an hour on Sunday, but television services escaped disruption.
Fire crews were called to Pacific Quay, Glasgow at just before 11:30am on Sunday morning. Smoke was seen coming from the building, with the fire understood to have broken out in a utility room.
During the incident, staff were evacuated from the building. As a result, BBC Radio Scotland’s Off The Ball programme was replaced by BBC Radio 5 Live. Normal programming resumed at just after 1pm.
On TV, the BBC Scotland channel’s weekly news review Seven Days was cancelled due to technical issues arising from the fire. As it was a Sunday, no live news output on BBC One Scotland was affected. The evening editions of Reporting Scotland went ahead as scheduled.
