iPlayer: BBC adds dinnerladies, Keeping Up Appearances and This Life boxsets

11 November 2021

Over the next three weeks, the BBC will be uploading boxsets containing all episodes from the three hit 90s shows.

Beginning with dinnerladies, created by and starring the late Victoria Wood, all episodes of the canteen-based sitcom are now available to stream.

Keeping Up Appearances will be added on Tuesday 16th November. Starring Patricia Routledge as Hyacinth Bucket and the late Clive Swift as her long suffering husband Richard, viewers will be able to watch all five series of the class-based comedy.

Finally, cult drama This Life, first broadcast in 1996 and starring Amita Dhiri, Andrew Lincoln, Daniela Nardini, Jack Davenport and Jason Hughes, will be added on Tuesday 30th November. The box set also includes the ‘ten years later’ special episode.

Dan McGolpin, director, BBC iPlayer and channels, said:

“BBC iPlayer has more choice than ever and alongside many of this year’s biggest hits we’re adding these star-studded nineties classics. We’ve got something for everyone, whether you want to binge on a much-loved programme or discover something new.”

Overview

  • Dinnerladies – available from Thursday 11th November 2021
  • Keeping Up Appearances – from Tuesday 16th November 2021
  • This Life – from Tuesday 30th November 2021
