You will be able to stream Premier Sports and BoxNation through Amazon Prime Video’s streaming platform, via an add-on subscription.
The deal between Premier Sports and Amazon includes all five Premier Sports-operated services. These include FreeSports and LaLiga TV on top of Premier Sports 1, 2 and BoxNation.
All five channels are available within the add-on subscription of £14.99 per month for residential customers.
Which sports are covered?
Subscribers will have access to live and on demand content from Scotland’s cup football competitions, the Scottish Cup and Premier Sports Cup. There is also coverage of every game live from the United Rugby Championship. Meanwhile, La Liga TV offers every live game from Spain’s top domestic football league.
In 2022, subscribers will be able to see games from the Betfred Rugby League Championship. FreeSports will showcase cricket from around the globe. The broadcaster also has rights to action from the NHL, Premier Sports Elite Ice Hockey League, TOP14 and cup football competitions from Spain, Italy and Germany.
The deal with Amazon is part of a wider push to make services available on more connected TV platforms. Only last week, Premier Sports launched its FreeSports channel on Samsung TV Plus.
Richard Sweeney, CEO of Premier Sports, said:
“We are delighted to be able to launch on Amazon to increase the visibility of our channels with a huge amount of live content from around the globe. Our channels have built up a loyal following of football, rugby union, rugby league, motorsport, ice hockey and boxing fans amongst others since we launched and we’re thrilled we can offer this and much more to Amazon customers.”
