The European edition of business channel Bloomberg is moving to a new transponder, affecting viewers and platform operators across continental Europe.
Bloomberg Europe TV on Astra 19.2°E is in the process of leaving its longstanding old slot on Astra 1L, with the channel label now instructing viewers to retune.
The label on 11597 V now reads “Bloomberg Europe TV_OLD_Please retune”.
Since the start of June, it is now broadcasting on its new frequency on Astra 1N, sharing capacity on the same transponder as Sky News International. As before, Bloomberg Europe continues to be SD only.
Viewers, businesses and platform operators who take their feed from Astra 19.2°E need to switch before the old signal is turned off.
The UK version of Bloomberg – broadcast in HD through Astra 2, 28.2°E – is unaffected.
