Samsung has added a range of new TV Plus channels for users of its smart TV range and selected mobiles and tablets.
Dedicated channels for reality talent shows America’s Got Talent and American Idol have launched on channels 4106 and 4107.
In the UK, American Idol is part of an exclusive streaming deal with Samsung; the 2022 season of the show was exclusively streamed through the Entertainment Hub channel on Samsung TV Plus channel 4001. Channel 4107 features earlier seasons.
Meanwhile, new comedy channel LOL Network has popped up on channel 4137. Founded by US comedian Kevin Hart, LOL Network features a curated collection of the boldest voices in comedy: stand-up, sketch, scripted, non-scripted, animation, interviews, and more.
Among the news channels, streaming news service Bloomberg Quick Take has joined on channel 4321.
A list of Samsung TV Plus channels available in the UK can be found in our guide.
Earlier this year, Samsung added GB News and Trace Urban to its streaming TV service.
About TV Plus
TV Plus is Samsung’s own TV platform, providing access to a range of free, ad-supported channels. It’s available on all current smart TVs as well as on selected Samsung mobiles and tablets.
On TV, TV Plus channels appear above channel 4000 on the channel guide. They are streamed via the internet.
Alongside some very specialist channels from providers including Pluto TV, Rakuten, Vevo and Stingray, there are some slightly more well-known channels on TV Plus. These include CNN, FreeSports and GB News.
Channel numbers below 4000 are assigned to regular TV services. Viewers in the UK who have their smart TVs connected to a TV aerial can see digital terrestrial TV (or “DTV Air”) channels using the normal Freeview channel numbering system.

Samsung TV owners using Freesat need to switch out of Freesat mode to access TV Plus. This is due to licensing issues: Non-Freesat services can’t share the same channel list as the Freesat Electronic Programme Guide.
For similar reasons, Samsung TVs can’t officially be advertised as supporting Freeview. That’s despite Samsung TVs being compatible with Freeview TV channel reception.
