Current ITV Hub+ subscribers will be given discounted access to ITVX when it officially launches next month.
ITV Hub+ provided users with ad-free access to ITV’s streaming service for £3.99 a month. Viewers who subscribed to the service have now received an email from ITV – shared with RXTV – with details of a special offer giving access to ITVX Premium for the same price until the end of 2023 if they keep subscribing.
Otherwise, ITVX Premium is set to cost £5.99 per month, up £2 from the current Hub+ price. In addition to ad-free access to on-demand content, the premium tier will also include BritBox UK. There will also be a discounted annual option.
The current standalone BritBox UK subscription is also £5.99 a month, meaning subscribers will receive better value if they make the switch to ITVX’s premium service.
ITVX officially launches on the 8th December. In the run-up to the launch date, the app will begin to appear across various devices and platforms.
For those who don’t subscribe, ITVX will still offer over 10,000 of free-to-stream HD content with adverts. Users will also gain access to live streams of ITV’s six channels, plus 20 streaming only channels. These will contain adverts, even for premium subscribers.
